Environmentally-friendly manufacturing
Protecting the planet is one of the biggest challenges of our times. In light of this, we see it as our duty as a company to do everything we can to help ensure that international climate change targets are met.
At Alanod, we take every possible measure to minimise our impact on the environment and to protect the health and safety of our employees around the world.
All our processes and products comply with legislation that includes REACH, RoHS, WEEE and EoLV requirements. Our environmental management system is certified to ISO 14001:2015, and our energy management system to ISO 50001:2011. Additionally, since 2011 our manufacturing operation is completely powered from renewable energy sources.
Aluminium recycling
Aluminium is an ideal material for recycling. Many of our products are manufactured from up to 90% recycled aluminium – the exact percentage depends on the desired surface finish and quality – and can be recycled at the end of their working life.
This has both economic and ecological benefits: producing recycled aluminium takes up to 95% less energy, generates fewer emissions and helps protect natural bauxite reserves.
